Team Greystone Wins the Rob Brooks Cup at the 2023 Community Squash Ontario Masters Championship

The Greystone Racquet Club served up a winning experience for our masters community as the host of the 2023 Community Squash Ontario Masters Championships. Tournament Chair Gary Waite, co-hosts and volunteers Ruth Ann McBride and Nicole Garon, and the entire staff at Greystone did an excellent job welcoming all 90 players from around the province to their home with excellent meals prepared by their in-house chef, live music, and friendly faces all weekend long. Special thanks to Tournament Referee Dave Fishburn and referees Wayne Smith, Sofia Navedeh, and Amir Shemirani for providing a smooth event experience on the refereeing side.

Squash Ontario is Hiring – Community Engagement Coordinator

Squash Ontario has ambitious goals in its 2023-2027 “Squash for All” strategic plan to introduce squash to more players than ever before, ensuring the sport’s continued growth. By 2027, we want to see 30,000 people introduced to the sport through Learn to Play programs, mobile squash courts and open house events. We also want to see wheelchair squash programs up and running and equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives underway. To meet these goals, we will need to expand our team with the hiring of a Community Engagement Coordinator.
