Register Now for the 2023 Community Squash Ontario Masters Championships

Registration extended until Sunday, October 15th!

Calling all Masters players! The first provincial championship of the 2023-2024 is here and we want to see you on the courts.

The 2023 Community Squash Ontario Masters Championships will again be taking place at the newly renovated Greystone Racquet Club in Waterloo, October 20-22. There is a division for everyone, starting with 30+ all the way to 75+ and a B/C division. The deadline to register for this event is Wednesday, October 11.

The event is sure to be a wonderful atmosphere with the legendary Gary Waite at the helm as the club's squash professional. The team at Greystone has been working hard to ensure participants have a great experience and entry includes a tournament souvenir, prizes, social events, flexible scheduling for minimum 3 matches and Squash Ontario officials on-site refereeing.

This Championship is also a chance for our high performance masters to earn spots on Team Ontario at the 2024 Canadian Masters Team Championships in the New Year. Winners of the following divisions will be invited to join Team Ontario: Men’s 40+, 45+, 50+, 55 +, Women’s 40+, 45+, 50+. If divisions are combined, the top finishers of each combined age group will be selected. For more information on how to qualify for Team Ontario, see the registration page listed below!

This year’s sponsor is Community Squash, whose vision is to help build and develop the squash community in Ontario by creating a culture of communal JOY through PLAY, CAMARADERIE and ACCESS, and to create a space where everyone at all levels and ages, regardless of perceived differences, can participate, contribute to the squash community and build relationships within the community.

In addition to singles play, we will crown our 7th Rob Brooks Cup Champion. Tournament chairs will be tallying up the points on Sunday to see which Club had the best results. A club team must have a minimum of 4 players participating and there is no maximum.  Points will be awarded to the top 6 finishers from each club in all (including B/C) categories per team as follows:

  • 8 points for the champion

  • 6 points for the runner-up

  • 4 points for 3rd place

  • 3 points for 4th place

  • 2 points for 5th place

  • 1 point for 6th place
