the 2024 squash ontario charity golf classic

THURSDAY, JUNE 6 2024 @ PHEASANT RUN GOLF CLUB

The 2024 Squash Ontario charity golf classic was held on Thursday 6th June at Pheasant Run Golf Club.

Despite the weather forecast predicting some showers, we were treated to nothing but glorious sunshine all day.

After signing in, purchasing raffle and putting contest tickets and checking out the new Squash Ontario mini court which was set up and shown off publicly for the first time, the scramble started at 1pm.

Once everyone had finished 18 holes, well deserved drinks were had at the 19th before a BBQ buffet dinner, the prize giving to the winners, drawing of the raffle and thankyou speeches from Lynsey Yates (SO Executive Director) and Dan Van Morsel (SO President) emphasizing the importance of the event and thanking everyone for their continued support of Squash Ontario.

Finally, finishing off the day there was a 2-way playoff in the 50/50 putting competition which came down to sudden death, with Doug Robinson squeezing past Kimesh Chetty.

The winners were: (from left to right in the photos)

Men's Foursome - Kimesh Chetty, James Van Steveren, Tony Chetty (missing is Yeshale Chetty)

Mixed Foursome - Chris Smith, Steph Edminson, Becka Hazell, Aaron Parker

raising $20,000 to Continue Mark’s mission to grow squash.
help us achieve our goal!

We accept & appreciate donations!

As a not for profit, much of our efforts to increase participation for underrepresented populations and people who need community and physical activity the most, would not be able to happen without additional support from your donation. We greatly appreciate your support and helping us reach our goal of raising $20,000.00!

All donation and event proceeds will support Squash Ontario’s 2024-2025 Sport Development Initiatives. Striving for more inclusiveness, sustainability and engagement, proceeds from this event will support our plans to introduce more people to the game, decrease barriers for entry into the sport for women and girls, older adults, people with a disability, underrepresented populations and making sure all Ontarians are encouraged to give the sport a try. Our aim is to increase the number of people who engage in physical activity and connect with their community through squash.
