Squash Canada is excited to announce our Playground to Podium Campaign. The Campaign will outfit new players in a grassroots or beginner program with a “Squash Starter Kit”, full of everything they need to get started: racquet, balls, goggles, and backpack. By providing the necessary equipment to new players in these programs, this Campaign will help address participation barriers and foster the growth and sustainability of squash in Canada.
From July 1st to August 31st, any donation of $250 or greater to the Road to Podium Fund will give donors the option of identifying a club or province/territory they would like their “Squash Starter Kit” to be donated to. At the end of the Campaign, Kits will be delivered to their new homes in time for the start of the squash season.
While the Playground to Podium Campaign aims to help our grassroots programming across the country grow and become more accessible, the Road to Podium Fund also helps our national team athletes to sustain and accelerate development and performance on the highest international stage. Unfortunately, the required funding does not readily exist within many players’ means/support structure or Squash Canada to fully fund high performance endeavours. With the Playground to Podium Campaign, donors will be helping support athletes at both the grassroots and high performance levels.
