With courts opening in a few short months (or weeks!!) we want to make sure you dust off your racquet and get your hand-eye coordination back. This event will have a tournament format with a new round beginning each week. Draws will be published online so we can all follow along!
Cost: $10 plus HST
Deadline to register is July 4th.
Rules and Regulations:
players will be entered into one communal draw to face off against each other. There will be 3 matches guaranteed, win or lose. If entries numbers allow for it, we will do a Men's and a Women's draw.
the winner will receive a Squash Ontario swag bag and bragging rights!
players will be emailed each week with their match up and will have 5-7 days to complete the solo hitting program and send in their results to Lauren (programs@squashontario.com).
player with the best overall score will advance to the next round, loser will go into the cons and bronze draws.
this can be done inside or outside, depending on the space. You just need a flat surface to hit the ball against!
any questionable results will be challenged. We are operating on the honour system! The aim of this tournament is to get a racquet back in hands and have some fun while removing the rust.
Solo Hitting Routine: Players must stand approximately 8-10 feet away from the wall that they choose to hit against. You must use a timer and count how many of each shot you can hit in 2 minutes (10 minutes total). Count total amount of hits for each specific shot, does not need to be consecutive hitting.
