Squash Ontario is pleased to share a mid-season update of the 2024-2025 Jesters University League with you all. Our 10 participating Universities face off against each other over 5 competition weekends from October through February. Our dedicated players and coaches travel across the province, competing against each other at many different school or club venues.
The Jesters of Ontario continuously support this wonderful league year after year, ensuring our teams are well fed during competition and help alleviate the costs associated with the league and competitions. We cannot thank them enough for their generosity and passion towards continuing the growth of University Squash in Ontario. With their continued sponsorship, many of Ontario's top juniors are opting to stay local, and the level of squash in the league is improving year after year.
During regular season play, all of our teams face off against each other over four competition weekends. Each team has 7 players face off to determine the outcome of the fixture. Sectional #1 kicked the season off and took place mid October across 3 different venues, followed by Crossover #1 at Mayfair Lakeshore, Toronto. Sectional #2 took place mid November at various locations across the province.
Heading into the final crossover of the regular season, which will take place mid January at Queen’s University, the men's division is being led by University of Toronto and Queen’s University, both with 7-0 records. Western and Waterloo men are tied for second with 5-2 records. On the women's side, McGill is currently undefeated winning all 6 of their matchups, with University of Toronto and Western following closely behind in second place at 5-1.
The University play wraps up with the OUA Championships at White Oaks from February 7-9.
