The historic running of the 2022 Canadian Squash Championships, held for the first time ever outdoors on the all-glass Power Court at the iconic Jack Poole Plaza overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Rocky Mountains and 2010 Olympic Cauldron in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia has begun!

Supported by the province of British Columbia, and with ongoing thanks to Title Partner Oxford Properties, Gold Partners Richardson Wealth, Baker Tilly, Hillside Wealth, Pembroke Management and a host of generous partners and individual donors, the event is not to be missed and certainly the pinnacle of the 2021-2022 squash season.

Top Canadians Hollie Naughton (ON), Danielle Letourneau (AB), Nicole Bunyan (BC), David Baillargeon (QC), Nikole Todd (SK) and Nick Sachvie (ON), fresh off success at the Oxford Properties Canadian Open Presented by AirSprint Private Aviation in Calgary will be joined by Senior National Squad members Shawn Delierre (QC), Mike McCue (ON) and Cameron Seth (ON), as well as NextGen National Squad members competing for $15,000 in prize money.

The event will also feature the first post-pandemic National masters competition with legends from across the country competing for 20 age categories. Additionally, the celebration of squash will continue with draws for everyone including U23, companion events (A, B, C, D), Masters B/C draws and Junior categories – everyone and anyone is invited to grab a racquet and get involved.

It is with great honor that the Canadian Squash Hall of Fame Commission will induct five remarkable individuals into the Canadian Squash Hall of Fame during the event. The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday June 4th, during the 2022 Oxford Properties Canadian Squash Championships at Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver, BC. The Class of 2022 includes Barbara Cooper, Michael Desaulniers, Melanie Jans, Shahier Razik, and Michael Way.

Tournament Chair Viktor Berg, the organizing committee, Squash BC and the Vancouver community are excited to host the nation for an action-packed week of squash and social activities. Event venues include the Vancouver Lawn Tennis Club, Jericho Tennis Club, Evergreen Squash Club, Vancouver Racquets Club and the YWCA Fitness and Racquet Club in conjunction with the Power Court being erected at Jack Poole Plaza.
