Squash Canada recently announced the launch of the NextGen and Junior National Squad programs; two critical pathways for top young athletes designed to lead Canada back to the forefront of global squash. These players will join the already formed Senior National Squad members, in the hopes of playing for Team Canada in future competitions.
In collaboration with Provincial Sport Organizations and Squash Canada high performance/junior coaching communities, the Next Gen and Junior squads were created to address the current gap in development for top junior, US College student athletes and aspiring young PSA players. The program identified up to 24 females and 24 males, with the intention to support them in all aspects of their journey to represent Canada at an international level.
Squash Ontario is proud to have an array of players on each squad. It is a direct reflection of how hard working and dedicated our high-performance players have been throughout their junior careers. We look to watching all our top talent return to competition this season, whether it be on home soil or abroad!
