About Squash Ontario
Squash Ontario is a not-for-profit amateur sport organization dedicated to growing and supporting squash across the province. Recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport as Ontario's Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) for squash, we develop players, coaches, officials, and volunteers through innovative programs and initiatives.
This summer, Squash Ontario is hitting the road with our Dunlop Mini Court, spreading excitement about squash’s inclusion in the Olympics and providing communities with opportunities to try the sport.
We’re looking for two enthusiastic and reliable students to join our team and help deliver this exciting initiative. Applicants applying as a team are encouraged, as accommodations will involve shared hotel rooms and other travel arrangements.
Position Overview
As a Summer Outreach Ambassador, you’ll represent Squash Ontario during our Mini Court Tour across cities in Ontario. You’ll engage with communities, set up and manage event equipment, and encourage participants to explore the sport of squash. This is a hands-on, mobile role, ideal for individuals passionate about squash, community engagement, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Transport, set up, and dismantle the Dunlop Mini Court and related equipment at event locations.
Engage with event attendees to promote squash and provide basic introductions to the sport.
Partner with local Squash Ontario member clubs to run events and share squash opportunities in the area.
Ensure safety protocols are followed during setup, teardown, and activities.
Applicants must be capable of performing tasks that involve heavy lifting.
Serve as Squash Ontario’s ambassador, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
Assist with social media content creation, such as capturing event highlights, photos, and videos.
Complete administrative tasks, including activity reporting and inventory management.
Reports to: Community Engagement Coordinator
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking students who are:
Passionate about squash! Previous squash experience is required.
Must be able to perform heavy lifting and assist with the assembly of the mini court. Problem-solving with equipment is an asset.
Must be able to work independently and in team settings.
Applicant needs to be a current student or graduate in the Spring of 2025.
Travel: Valid G Driver's License and a clean Driver's Abstract is required.
Police background check will be required upon hire.
Located in the Greater Toronto Area
Bonus Skills
Experience in social media, sports marketing, or event promotion.
Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse audiences and age groups.
First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage.
Hours: Full-time, including weekends and evenings based on event schedules.
Staff are expected to work most weekends from May 26 – July 19, 2025, with scheduled days off during the week. This role involves long days, including evenings, as part of a busy event schedule, so full weekend availability is essential.
Travel: Mileage and expenses for travel covered.
