2025 Weir Team Ontario Men's Veterans Doubles Championships Recap

The 2025 Weir Team Ontario Men's Veterans Doubles Championships delivered another incredible weekend of high-level doubles squash. With 40 teams competing, this event once again proved to be one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year.

A huge thank you to The Badminton & Racquet Club and the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club for graciously providing court space, allowing us to accommodate all matches during this busy winter weekend. Their support was instrumental in making the tournament a success.

This event would not be possible without our outstanding sponsors, whose generosity continues to elevate the experience for all participants. A special thank you to our title sponsor, Cam Weir and The Weir Team, for their unwavering support. Friday night featured a fantastic dinner at TRC, courtesy of Peter Sidgwick at TGG and prepared by Chef Chris. Players also enjoyed a brand-new mixed drink station, thanks to Mark Hinchcliffe and Hennessy & Hinchcliffe. Saturday afternoon brought a well-timed pizza break during the semi-finals, courtesy of Chris Milthorpe and CM Concrete. Special thank you to more sponsors of the event, the Ontario Squash Doubles League, Michael Hobart (Fogler Rubinoff), Jon LeHeup at Ridley Windows.

A special shoutout to Tournament Chairs Luke McGoey and Scott Arnold for their leadership in organizing another seamless event. We also extend our gratitude to Tournament Referee Tim Mallory and all the volunteer referees who helped ensure fair and competitive play across all matches.

Thank you to all the players for bringing their energy, skill, and sportsmanship to the courts. We hope you had an unforgettable time and look forward to welcoming you back next year for another fantastic edition of the Ontario Men’s Veterans Doubles Championships!
