The Arjun Gupta Foundation Hosts it's Inaugural Event

Founded in 2023, the Arjun Gupta Foundation (AGF) was created to honour a beloved son, brother, and friend. One of Arjun’s primary passions in life was to help others. Undeniably loyal, brilliant, kind-hearted, soft spoken, funny, selfless, and generous beyond belief, his kindness was felt by everyone who had the opportunity to meet him. Arjun had immense pride for his family and his many cousins, who all meant the world to him.

In keeping with Arjun’s nature of giving and excellence in sport, the Arjun Gupta Foundation will provide philanthropic support across the following pillars of focus:

  • Athletics - provide funding to elite athletes in pursuit of international excellence.

  • Employment - facilitate opportunities to those with physical/mental constraints.

  • Academics - provide scholarships and funding to students in need.

Arjun started playing squash at the young age of 7 at the Granite Club in Toronto, where his father, Ajay, introduced him to the sport. He was a Provincial, National and US Open Champion throughout his junior career. He topped these various titles off with a Bronze medal at the World Junior Championships before he attended Cornell University, where he played on the squash team.

The Gupta family have organized a cocktail reception at Brookfield Place near the glass court before the Canadian Women's Open begins, on October 24th at 6:30 pm. This will be a night of fun with exhibitions, drinks, food, music and auctions to support the foundation. Join us at this event to not only support the foundation, but to also celebrate Arjun’s tremendous life on and off the court!
