Operation OFSAA is BACK!

Operation OFSAA is BACK!

Calling all high school teachers… especially those from our squash community! Do you want to introduce your students to a new sport that will bring them years of fun, fitness and friendship? Start a squash team at your school this year.

All you need to get started is enthusiasm, some equipment (which you can borrow from Squash Ontario) and a gym. Once your students are hooked, we can help you find local courts to hone their skills. Join other high school teams from around Ontario who compete at the Jim Mason Cup teams tournament every spring.

Squash Ontario’s goal is to welcome new schools and teams from across the province in hopes to make our dream of becoming an official OFSAA sport come true! Whether you are brand new to the sport or one of Ontario's high-performance players, we offer a variety of divisions that ensure everyone can play at their own level.

Here is just a small sampling of reactions from participants in the April 2022 Jim Mason Cup, which included teams of all levels, from novice to experienced.

“For our students, this was the highlight of their year. Everyone loved the energy of the co-ed environment and the chance to meet students from other schools. It is a fantastic opportunity to push their limits and be challenged while also having fun. As I was going through the photos from the tournament I couldn't help but notice all the smiles. Thank you” - Yoon Kang, Teacher, Branksome Hall

“The event is crucial to the development of our sport.  The students had a great time playing on a team (Sir Winston Churchill Collegiate Institute) with their friends. Many new kids became engaged in Squash and will take up the sport with their local club.”      - Matt Easingwood, Squash Director White Oaks Resort
