The 2022 Weir Team Men's Veterans Doubles Championships - Largest Event in Men's Vets History!

Men’s 35+ Champions (Alex Kaptyn and Luke McGoey) pictured with title Sponsor Cam Weir (and finalist) with The Weir Team.

It was double the trouble this past weekend as the men were back in action - in teams - looking to clinch The Weir Team 2022 Ontario Men's Veterans Doubles Championship titles at the Toronto Racquet Club and satellite clubs Badminton & Racquet Club, Toronto Lawn & Tennis Club, and the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. The event was a huge success and could not have been possible without the support of title sponsor Cam Weir with The Weir Team and supporting sponsors Peter Sidgwick, Paul Smith, Michael Hobart, the Ontario Squash Doubles League, Jon Le Heup. Thanks to the efforts of Tournament Chairs Blair Finlayson, Luke McGoey, Head Professional Scott Arnold and tournament referee Tim Mallory, the event ran smoothly and was the biggest turnout in the history of the Men’s Doubles Veterans!

Overall, it was an action packed weekend, where we saw all teams play some competitive squash, make new friends, have fun with old friends, and most importantly celebrate their matches over a thirst quenching beverage supplied by the event supporters!
