SAVE THE DATE - Jim Mason Cup High School Teams Tournament

Let’s DO THIS!

Momentum is building for what is shaping up to be the biggest Jim Mason Cup ever. Teams from Niagara, Sarnia and Toronto are already prepping for the 2023 version of the annual high school team tournament. Mark April 21 and 22 ,2023 on your calendars. That’s when Toronto’s Mayfair Lakeshore and its 13 world class squash courts will open its doors to high school teams from around the province.

If you are a secondary school teacher who has never had a team but toyed with building one, the time is NOW! Contact alison@squashontario.com for details on how to get started. With competition in three Divisions, there’s something for every level – beginner to Ontario ranked high performance players.

New this year, Squash Ontario is offering ten $150 honorariums to schools making their first trip to the JMC. The first 10 NEW schools to register via email (alison@squashontario.com) with school name, teacher, and number of players/teams entering will receive their funding at the Jim Mason Cup once competition is complete.

Jessy Khalife from Père-Philippe-Lamarche Catholic Secondary School in Toronto brought two new teams to the 2022 event. Her students are stoked to return and are even trying to recruit others. "Since their first taste of squash at the Jim Mason cup last year, students have been asking about their return to the sport with feverous excitement and a keen desire to get back on court and practice and play. Students with tennis background, and other athletic abilities are showing stellar interest in wanting to develop in a new sport and are very much looking forward to competing in the Jim Mason cup again. We are all so thankful for Squash Ontario and the generosity of people like Alison Le Ber, who made it possible to play with gear donations! Here is to 2023! "
