It’s go time! The squash season is officially here with the Canadian Women’s Squash Doubles Championships presented by Echelon starting Thursday, October 18th, at the Cricket Club.
Action kicks off this Thursday at 6:00 pm with Stephanie Hewitt and her partner Narelle Krizek (AUS) battling against Marnie Baizley and Amy Milanek (USA).
The entire women’s draw promises to be filled with very exciting doubles squash, with most matches expected to go the distance. Don’t miss this chance to catch some of the best women’s doubles action world-wide!
Thursday 7 pm – Canadian duo Seanna Keating and Marci Sier vs Tina Rix (ENG) and Victoria Simmons (ENG).
Thursday 8 pm – Kayley Leonard (USA) and former World # 3 Singles Pro Madeline Perry (IRE) vs Dana Betts (USA) and Natarsha McElhinny (AUS)
Friday 12:00 pm - Canadians Nikki Todd and Sam Cornett take on top seeds Susie Pierrepont (ENG) and Fernanda Rocha (ARG)
Alongside the pro event are several fun Pro-Am draws which will benefit breast cancer research funded by the Canadian Cancer Society. Similar to last year, Cricket members (all amateurs) will once again be raising funds in support of breast cancer research funded by the Canadian Cancer Society and any donations in support of this worthwhile cause would certainly be appreciated.
