Squash was featured at the second annual Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards in Toronto on September 17th thanks to award recipient Graeme Williams with the Windsor Squash & Fitness Club. Graeme was the winner of the Trailblazer award which is dedicated to "an innovative out-of-the-box thinker who inspires others to follow and has made a difference in their sport of for their athletes. The coach pushes the envelope, invents new approaches, and breaks through barriers." While the Windsor coach could fit into many categories, he was recognized for his strides with the Windsor junior program (growing it from under 10 juniors to just shy of 100) and school squash programs (bringing squash into schools with coach David Morrish). Graeme was nominated for this prestigious CAO award after being nominated for the Squash Ontario Mark Sachvie Coaching Achievement Award by an overwhelming number of people (and winning it)! Congratulations to Graeme and coaches at the Windsor Squash & Fitness Club, keep it up!
