Women’s ONLINE FITNESS FOR SQUASH TRAINING PROGRAM

Program Information

Squash Ontario is teaming up with the energetic Barre Teja in our first-ever online women's squash community virtual training program!  These workouts are geared towards building strength and agility specifically for the squash athlete. Our goal is to offer physical training to the entire Ontario women's squash community so that they will see improvement on and off the court to will be ready to compete in tournaments near the end of the program. 

  • 10 week training program, September 26 - November 28

  • Weekly 30 minute zoom group workout sessions (Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m.)

  • Additional daily, goal specific program workout plan accessed through the Barre Teja online studio  + App (an additional $19.99 monthly membership or 20% discounted yearly membership to the online studio purchased separately)

  • Additional workout equipment required: looped plastic resistance bands, pilates ball, 1lbs ankle weights

  • Must be aged 16 or older

Sweating with Teja means you will smile and laugh your way through a workout that will channel your energy through focused, low-impact movements to burn, transform and strengthen your body, improving your overall physical performance on your court.

Squash Canada Physical and Technical Testing Program (Optional)

With thanks to Squash Canada, participants will have access to the National Standardized Testing Program used for national and provincial level athlete training and is a key tool for athlete development. These tests have been designed with match performance in mind. Improvement through these tests should translate to improvement with your game as well.

There are two testing components:

  1. The Technical Tests (15 minutes) - hit the maximum number of targets (or reps) in 2 minutes, with five different squash shots.

  2. The Physical Tests (30 minutes) - measure performance through five different physical tests on the squash court. 

All that is required is masking tape, a partner to help measure, a raquet, a ball, and a squash court. 

Everyone will be encouraged to test themselves before and after this 10 week program. Sharing results with Squash Ontario is optional.

About Teja

Teja is no stranger to sport with a history of Division 1 U.S. College softball, Canadian National Gymnastics team member- Pan-Am Championships silver medalist in power tumbling, competing in a half ironman and active in a number of other sports. She has created the "BT Method" which is an intricate, full body practice.
