2023 Canadian Junior Open Presented by Forthlane Partners

Registration Fee:

  • The U11 to U19 categories will be held December 9-12

    • ENTRY FEE ONLY: $155 CAD plus HST 

    • ENHANCED PACKAGE: $200 CAD plus HST., which includes regular entry PLUS 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch and tournament souvenir

Registration Limits:

  • Girls & Boys U11 & U13 - cap is 32 players per category

  • Girls & Boys U15 - cap is 32 players

  • Girls & Boys U17 - cap is 48 players

  • Girls & Boys U19 - cap is 48 players

  • Registration is on a first come, first served basis, so register early! Players may enter only one division.

Wait List - A waiting list will be accepted if registrations reach the age category cap. As space becomes available, the following general principles will be used in priority sequence:

  • Fill a draw of a category

  • Higher ranked players

  • Earliest wait list request

REMINDER: Officials Certification Requirement for participation in the Canadian Junior Open

All Canadian players competing in the Canadian Junior Open (all categories except U11 & U13) must be a certified official at a minimum of the Club Referee level. This policy came into effect as of December 1, 2021. Cost is $35.

Start Times & Match Scheduling Requests:

  • Proposed schedule - Bracket Rounds: December 9-10, Semi-Finals: December 11, Finals: December 12 (schedule is subject to change) 

  • Special requests will not be considered due to the size of the event and limited court availability

  • Players must be prepared to go on court a minimum 15 minutes prior to their next match.

  • Players and Coaches/Parents are encouraged to follow previous match scores via Club Locker Live Scoring to assist with match preparation.

  • Players will be expected to referee the next match unless notified by the Tournament Referee

  • As a condition of entry, players must be prepared to play on all competition days, including the last day of the event. Early departures that result in a forfeit may negatively impact acceptance of registration in future Squash Canada events.
