The Community Squash vision is to help build and develop the squash community in Ontario by creating a culture of communal JOY through PLAY, CAMARADERIE and ACCESS, and to create a space where everyone at all levels and ages, regardless of perceived differences, can participate, contribute to the squash community and build relationships within the community.

Tournament: 2023 Community Squash Ontario Masters Championships
Dates: 20-22 October, 2023
Registration Deadline: 11 October, 2023
Divisions: Mens & Women's 30+ B/C, 30+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+ and Men's 70+, 75+ (draws with less than 4 players will be combined)
B/C divisions are geared towards players who typically play at a low B level or below. Approximate ratings should be under 3.5 for women and under 4.0 for men. If there are not enough participants in these B/C divisions, we will combine them with the regular age group divisions.

Entry Fee: $85 + HST (late entries may be accepted if feasible and will be subject to a $5 surcharge)
Start times: will be published by end of day on the Wednesday and draws will be posted by end of day on the Thursday, the week of the tournament. Requests to change or specific start times cannot be accommodated due to the nature of the event.
Eyeguards must be worn by all players at sanctioned events. Officials will monitor the use of eyewear
Refunds: any withdrawals before the entry deadline will receive a refund less 15% admin fee. Any withdrawals after the entry deadline will not receive a refund.

Team Ontario Masters Selection Event
To qualify for Team Ontario Masters and participate in the Canadian Masters Team Championships, players must meet the below criteria.
Men’s Team
The men’s team will comprise of four (4) players; one over the age of 40, at least one of whom must be over the age of 45, at least one other must be over the age of 50 and at least one further player must be over the age of 55. Playing position on the team will be determined by the team captain and Squash Ontario.
Women’s Team
The women’s team will comprise three (3) players; one over the age of 40, at least one of whom must be over the age of 45 and at least one other must be over the age of 50. Playing position on the team will be determined by the team captain and Squash Ontario.
Eligibility Criteria
Be an individual member in good standing of Squash Ontario at the date of selection
Be either a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
Have resided in Ontario for 12 months prior to the date of the Ontario Masters Closed Championship
Age eligibility as of the last day of the Canadian Masters Teams Championships
Selection Criteria
Players MUST participate in the Ontario Masters Closed Championships
Winners of the following divisions will be invited to join Team Ontario: Men’s 40+, 45+, 50+, 55 +, Women’s 40+, 45+, 50+
If divisions are combined and there is not a head to head match up, the top finishers of each combined age group will be selected (ie. Men’s 40/45+ division, the top finisher aged over 40+ will be selected and the top finisher over 45+ will fill that spot).
If the winner of a draw declines to participate on Team Ontario, Squash Ontario reserves the right to place a higher ranked, winner of an older division to the team (ie. If Women’s 50+ winner declines and the 55+ winner is higher ranked than the runner up, they will be invited to take the 50+ spot).
