Supported by Squash Canada and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, Squash Ontario will partner with coach Niki Aron and the Columbus Centre to run a six-week All-Girls Learn to Play Program. This program will feature games, drills and skill building with up to eight participants for one hour per week.
The program is aimed at girls between the ages of 6-14 who are brand new to the sport. All participants will receive a fun squash long sleeve shirt and a full Dunlop starter kit, complete with racquet, eye-guard, and ball!
According the Canadian Women & Sport, one in four Canadian girls (aged 6-18) are not committed to resuming pre-pandemic sport participation levels. As sport starts to return, there is an opportunity to change the minds of girls who are not committed to return.
All participants aged 12 and up will be required to provide proof of vaccination upon entry into the facility.
Cost: The Squash Ontario membership - $35.00 plus $20.00 program fee.
Schedule: Wednesdays, March 30 - May 4, 4:40 - 5:20 pm
