Samantha Cornett, an Ottawa native and previous Ontario and Canada #1 ranked player for many years, has announced her decision to retire from professional squash. As many of us know, Sam has been competing professionally since 2007 and achieved a career-high world ranking of 23 in February 2018, racking up 13 PSA titles over the years. A national icon and seasoned international competitor, Sam has also been an amazing role model and leader to our Ontario community.

On Thursday, May 21st at 5:00 p.m., we are inviting our Squash Ontario members to join us in a final Question & Answer session over Zoom to celebrate Sam’s last 13 years representing Ontario on the international and national stage. We will be discussing how she got started playing, some tips for those who want to follow in her footsteps, highlights of her career, and more!
