Student Squash Leadership Bursary 2019-2020

Squash Ontario is pleased to offer a brand-new Student Squash Leadership Bursary for the 2019-2020 squash season. The purpose of this bursary is to inspire students to launch squash programs in their own schools, ultimately taking a team to the Jim Mason High School Teams Tournament at Mayfair Lakeshore in Toronto during the month of April (exact date TBD).

Squash Ontario is offering 10 bursaries of $500 each.

The schools of successful student applicants can apply for additional funding of up to $250 from Squash Ontario to help cover expenses such as court fees, travel to and from clubs, and coaching.

Student Bursary Application Requirements:

Application must be completed by a student leader, with support from a designated teacher
To receive the bursary, the schools of successful applicants must attend the Jim Mason High School Teams Tournament in April 2020 in Toronto
Successful applicants must submit a program plan and proposed budget with the application
Successful applicants must provide Squash Ontario with a brief final report

Please note, students at secondary schools that have already participated in the Jim Mason High School Teams Tournament will not be eligible to receive this bursary, but those schools will continue to receive support from Squash Ontario to bring a team to this year’s event.
