Awards and Recognition

Introduction

Success for a not for profit organization does not necessarily hinge on the amount of funding it receives because it matters not how many dollars you have - if you aren't able to deliver those dollars in the way of programs to your constituents - success is elusive.

Volunteers are quite literally the life blood of Squash Ontario and there are many, many of them. They are the ones who run the 9 regions - the regional presidents and their executive committees - they are the ones who sit on committees - the Masters, Doubles, High Performance, Officiating, Board of Directors, Coaching and Junior Advisory. They give so many hours with a reward only of self-satisfaction to see squash continue to grow and thrive.

Past Boards of Directors of Squash Ontario recognized early on that these volunteers were vital to its success and instituted a recognition program.  Over the past 25 years, individual Boards have augmented the program, creating new awards to thank its volunteers.

We are exceptionally fortunate and we have been over the years, to attract the dedicated, committed and enthusiastic volunteer. No award can thank them enough - but it's a start.
